Tiny hoverflies are friends to gardeners. The new larvae eat aphids, and the adults help with pollination. We can help them in return, by growing a variety of flowers that bloom right from the last frost in spring, to the first frost in fall. This is one of the reasons to love late season Japanese anemone flowers!
The delicate white anemone can have different symbolism in different cultures, but this type is often connected to sincerity or anticipation. They close at night and open in the morning, always changing, both fragile and strong, serving as reminders to enjoy the moment. Together with the flower fly, they are reminders of that thread connecting everything in nature.
The Messenger series is SOLD OUT - but more miniatures will be coming soon - Fall 2024!
