New Queen of the Lookout A small but impressive raptor, this confident Merlin claimed her lookout spot, to watch the world, and hunt for dinner. Wildlife and plant portraits in this "Lifelines" series are painted into natural wood grain with translucent layers of oils.

This painting was included in the Artists for Conservation 2022 International Exhibit of Nature in Art text publication and it is in the virtual exhibit available online this year through the AFC website.
