Pollinator Explorers Part I
Ink and gouache on paper

The Ebb and Flow series started with experiments with ink and water. Following up from the woodgrain inspirations of the Lifelines series, Neilson started experimenting with floating inks. The dynamics of emerging subtle moving patterns can be found in water, wind, sand, and even in sedimentary rock. Floating inks or paints all reveal signs of the energy created with ripple effects, revealing the give and take of patterns in nature.

Three piece set, three black wooden frames with UV protective glass. Paper floated with raw edges over black mat.
